Dr. Fakih is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the founding physician of Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates. A native Michigander, she received her bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in Pharmaceutical Sciences and her medical degree from Michigan State University. She completed her residency at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor. She is an adjunct clinical professor at Oakland University William Beaumont College of Medicine and at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
During her training, she served as Chief of Education and was awarded for Academic Excellence by St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in 2011. She was also awarded the MD Anderson Felix Rutledge Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology 2009. She has published work in the International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics pertaining to abnormal uterine bleeding and endometrial ablation procedures.
Dr. Fakih has clinical interests in polycystic ovarian syndrome, infertility, menopause, endometriosis, and laser surgical resurfacing. Her surgical interests are minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. From prenatal care to post menopause management, Dr. Fakih has dedicated her career to prioritizing compassionate care for women’s individual health needs.
Batoul Y. Abdallah, PhD, MPA holds a Doctorate in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Wayne State University, as well as a Masters of Public Administration from the prestigious University of Michigan, where she graduated with honors. She also obtained her bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan, with a double major in History and Integrated Science.
Dr. Abdallah is a popular and esteemed lecturer at University of Michigan, Marsal Family School of Education. She has published extensively in the fields of genome research, cancer research, and women’s health.
Dr. Abdallah’s publications include seminal papers on cancer genome evolution, ovarian cancer, genetics, genome sequencing, chromosome fragmentation, and more. Her work has appeared in more than one dozen peer reviewed scientific and medical publications.
